Refund and Cancellation Policy

Thank you for your generosity in supporting Shikshadwar Foundation. Donations made to us directly contribute to programmes that support education, healthcare, and livelihood for underserved communities. Please read our refund and cancellation policy carefully before making a contribution.

Can I Cancel a Donation I Have Made?

All donations made to Shikshadwar Foundation are voluntary and considered final upon confirmation of payment. However, we understand that errors can occur, and we have outlined specific circumstances under which a refund may be considered.

1. Refunds for Indian Donors

Refund requests from Indian donors will only be considered in the following situations:

  • The same donation amount was charged more than once due to a technical error.
  • An amount greater than the intended donation was debited from your account due to a payment gateway error.

In such cases, please contact us within 7 working days of the transaction at contact@shikshadwarfoundation.org with your transaction reference number and a brief description of the issue.

2. Online Donations via Payment Gateway

No refund or cancellation request for a donation made through an online payment gateway will be entertained, except in cases of proven fraudulent or unauthorised transactions. If you suspect fraud, please contact your bank and notify us immediately at contact@shikshadwarfoundation.org.

3. Additional Exclusions

  • Bank charges or transaction fees incurred due to failed or returned payments will not be reimbursed by Shikshadwar Foundation.
  • Refunds will not be processed after a donation receipt or tax exemption certificate (under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961) has been issued to the donor.

4. How to Request a Cancellation

To request a cancellation or refund under eligible circumstances, please email us at contact@shikshadwarfoundation.org with the following details:

  • Full name as provided during the donation
  • Date and amount of the transaction
  • Transaction or payment reference number
  • Reason for the cancellation request

We will respond to your request within 7 working days.

5. Foreign Donors

Donations received from foreign nationals or organisations are governed by the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 (FCRA). In compliance with FCRA regulations, Shikshadwar Foundation is unable to process refunds for donations received from foreign donors under any circumstances.
