Manish Mandal

Manish Mandal is the Founder Trustee of Shikshadwar Foundation, a mission-driven organisation dedicated to advancing inclusive and sustainable development through education, women empowerment, youth development, sustainable livelihoods, and environmental conservation. As a visionary social leader, he is committed to building institutions that empower marginalised communities and create long-term social impact through innovation, collaboration, and community participation.

Academically, Manish holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Delhi and a Master of Commerce from IGNOU. His academic foundation, combined with extensive experience in the development sector, has enabled him to build strong expertise in strategic financial management, institutional governance, grant management, statutory compliance, organisational development, and sustainable programme implementation.

Throughout his professional journey, Manish has held key leadership positions in reputed non-profit organisations, where he has successfully led financial strategy, governance systems, donor-funded programme management, audit functions, and organisational strengthening initiatives. He has overseen multi-crore CSR, government, and international development projects spanning education, livelihoods, public health, women empowerment, and environmental sustainability. His expertise includes financial planning, FCRA and statutory compliance, internal controls, donor reporting, policy development, risk management, and institutional capacity building.

The vision for Shikshadwar Foundation was inspired by a defining experience in 2012, when Manish encountered a child begging outside Jahangirpuri Metro Station in Delhi. While immediate assistance offered temporary relief, the incident reinforced his belief that lasting transformation can only be achieved through education, protection, skill development, and opportunity. This life-changing experience became the foundation of his commitment to creating sustainable social change.

In 2025, Manish transformed this vision into reality by establishing Shikshadwar Foundation alongside Ms. Silky Aggarwal and Mr. Suraj Kumar Mandal. Under his leadership, the Foundation has adopted an integrated development approach that empowers children, women, and youth while promoting environmental stewardship and community resilience. The Foundation's work is driven by the belief that sustainable development is achieved when communities are empowered to become self-reliant and active partners in their own progress.

As a transformational leader, Manish believes that meaningful development requires strong institutions, ethical governance, strategic partnerships, and measurable impact. He continues to build collaborations with governments, corporate CSR partners, philanthropic institutions, educational organisations, and civil society to expand opportunities for underserved communities and drive sustainable social transformation.
